Shipping Policy  – RcWorld

We know that you want to receive your items in excellent condition, that’s why we have introduced a number of measures to ensure you receive your items fast, safe and secure.

In most cases our goods are shipped around Australia via Startrack Express, TNT, Fastway, Couriers Please and through the Australia Post Express post service. In some cases, we offer standard postage on smaller items. Insurance and a proof of delivery service is highly recommended for all but the small and inexpensive items.

Unlike other vendor’s we don’t wish to make money on our shipping, that’s why our shipping and handling costs, are varied -  depending on where you live, size and weight of the article and if you request an Express delivery service. 

We have high volume contract shipping rates with major Australian freight companies, so we are able to get your purchase to you as fast and efficiently as possible. These are provided to you at our cost price.

Due to the complicated and varied shipping methods available, along with the complex matrix of size verses weight limits and destinations as well as dangerous goods loadings, we are unable to provide a full working and accurate or fair freight costing system.  ( the big freight companies even struggle with this.. ) Hobby items range in size from minute radio crystals to 3 metre tall cartons. Delivery destinations are just as diverse from local suburbs to outback towns on the opposite side of Australia.

These variations make it impossible to publish accurate postage or freight costs.

We have provided generalized shipping estimation costs and conditions on our Freight Charges page. This will provide an idea of the costs in many cases. We will always confirm directly to the customer the final total shipping costs prior to completing any sale, if we do not provide a fixed quote on the initial order.

Our aim is to have the vast majority of stock in store so we can ship your order immediately. The online stock inventory system in RcWorld may be incorrect as it does not operate in real time. It is a good indication however and we will always advise you if the item is out of stock and the estimated delay.

Contact us any time for actual product availability by email or phone. Most of our products are manufactured and shipped from overseas countries, so delivery times are estimates only.

 Orders received and paid for before 2PM on a business day will normally be processed and shipped within 1 or 2 working days.

Our despatch team use extensive foam padding, bubble wrap and cardboard boxes as necessary to protect your valuable goods.

RcWorld reserves to right to upgrade the freight method to a courier service at no extra cost to the recipient. RcWorld reserves to right to cancel an order if it deems the freight method is not acceptable to ensure the parcel arrives in acceptable conditions.

PO Boxes

Please note that large, heavy, valuable or dangerous goods CANNOT be shipped to PO Boxes. We must have a street address and the availability of a signature to prove receipt of goods for any Parcel totalling over 5kg in weight or over 700mm in length.

Proof of Delivery over $100.00 Order Value

We will always do our best to find the most cost effective shipping method for your order.
Generally goods shipped to the value of AU$100.00 or more will require proof of delivery. This will determine the final method of shipment ( Aust Post Registered mail or Courier delivery ) 
Please consider this when specifying your delivery address, as we cannot leave the goods if there is no one available to sign for them.
It is your responsibility to ensure you take all reasonable steps to secure the correct and safe delivery of your goods. We act on your behalf in arranging delivery to you only. If you do not wish to have your goods insured and waive the proof of delivery option we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage of the goods during Transit.

Available Freight options.

Australia Post Standard Service –
This is an ordinary Post Service and is not insured and is used at the clients OWN RISK. No Tracking number exists. For insured freight, please select the insurable option. RcWorld may automatically upgrade the shipping to an insured service for items over AU$100.00 ( This additional fee – if any - will be included in our shipping quote )

Couriers –
We use various providers to find you the best deal, such as- TNT, STAR TRACK, FASTWAY, WRL, AUSTRALIA POST EXPRESS and REGISTERED ARTICLES. Not all of these services are insured and some have online track and trace systems. Again RcWorld will find the best service to suit your needs.
We can authorize the couriers to ‘Leave without signature’ by your request, but this invalidates any insurance for ‘lost or damaged’ parcels showing a successful delivery.

Dangerous and Flammable Goods-

These include Methanal and Nitromethane fuels, LiPo batteries some glues and all paints and Rocket engines.

There is a surcharge on all dangerous goods deliveries, charged by the freight companies. If your order includes any dangerous goods we will advise you of the actual shipping costs prior to shipment. You may then decide if any changes need to be made.

Uninsured Goods

RcWorld cannot be held responsible for uninsured articles which are lost in transit or damaged on receipt. We recommend taking the insurance option. As your purchase is your responsibility.

Shipping Restrictions
RcWorld does not ship to hotels or motels. Orders must ship to either a permanent home address or a business address.

C. O. D.
We do not ship C.O.D. unless special arrangements are made for small cheaper items. Only available at Australia Post Offices

International Orders.
We can arrange shipping to overseas countries in most cases by various methods.
Due to payments using Paypal's Buyer protection scheme, we reserve the right to cancel orders that have airmail as a freight option. Airmail is not Insured and does not provide  Proof of Delivery or Online tracking as required for the Buyer protection scheme. Airmail orders over USD$100 will be cancelled immediately without consultation.
